From my side, as a Member of Parliament, the role of policymakers is not to predict the future of technology, but to ensure that society and each sector are prepared for it. We should accept that legislation can never move at the same speed as technology. If regulation tries to chase technology, it will always lose. It must instead shape the rules of the game.
What I took away: the tools are improving faster than our ability to govern how they are used. That gap is where the interesting work sits now.
