A few words about me 

I was born and raised in Limassol, as were both my parents, Costas Tsirides and Pavlina Mavrommati.

Having completed my secondary education at the Lyceum of Petrou kai Pavlou in Limassol, I moved to London for my university degree.

I am a graduate of law having gained my LLB degree at City University London with first-class honors, as well as being recognized as best performing law graduate of the year. I then continued my studies at University College London (UCL), where I graduated with a Masters in Maritime Law (LLM) with Distinction. I am also a qualified Barrister-at-Law, from the Inns of Court in London and a member of Middle Temple.

Since my return to Cyprus, I have lived in Limassol with my husband Alexis Papadopoulos and our two children, Pavlina and Andreas.

Since 2003, I have been actively practicing law and I am a member of the Limassol Bar Association. I am currently a Director and shareholder at the Law firm Costas Tsirides & Co LLC. Since 2005, I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators / MCIArb.

I have been a Board Member of the Cyprus Port Authority and the Commercialization Committee of the Limassol Port, during the time of its strategic redesign. While holding these positions, I helped design the framework for the transition of the Limassol Port from public to private ownership. From 2018 until 2021 I also held the position of Vice-President in the Cyprus Stock Exchange.

Within the framework of giving back to our community, I am the President of the Friends’ Association for the Center for Preventive Pediatrics.

Additionally, in 2023 I was appointed as Deputy Press Officer of the Democratic Rally (DISY).

As a Μember of the House of Representatives, under the banner of DISY since June 2021, I aim to contribute to the reorganization and restructuring of policy making and the welfare state.

From 2021 to 2026, as a Member of Parliament, I served as:

• Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, Justice and Public Order.

• Member and DISY Coordinator of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport, Communications and Works.

• Member and DISY Coordinator of the Parliamentary Committee on Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance.

• Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights and Equal Opportunities for Men and Women.

Currently, as a Member of Parliament, I serve as:

• Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, Justice and Public Order.

• Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism.

• Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance and Budget.

• Member of the Special Parliamentary Committee on the Code of Conduct for Members of the House of Representatives.

• Member of the Cyprus delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.
