Προσωπικές και συλλογικές. Μια τέτοια ήταν αυτή για τον ρόλο των γυναικών στην κοινωνία, την οποία οργάνωσε η Υπάτη Αρμοστεία της Αυστραλίας στην Κύπρο και στην οποία είχα την τιμή να παρευρεθώ ως ομιλήτρια, να απευθυνθώ στο κοινό και να απαντήσω ενδιαφέρουσες ερωτήσεις.
Οι γυναίκες ως σύμβολα ηγεσίας, ως πολιτικοί, ως εργαζόμενες, ως μητέρες και ως κορίτσια έχουν ακόμη να διανύσουν πολύ και δύσβατο δρόμο για να κερδίσουν όσα θα έπρεπε να είναι δεδομένα: ίσες ευκαιρίες. Κάτι, που ιδιαίτερα για τους ανθρώπους που βρίσκονται σε μειονότητες ή αποκλεισμένες ομάδες της κοινωνίας, γίνεται ακόμα πιο δύσκολο.

Certain events hold significant meaning as they strike a chord that resonates deeply, both on a personal and collective level. One such event that left a lasting impact was the Australian High Commission thought-provoking gathering on the role of women in society. It was an absolute honor to attend and have the opportunity to address the audience.
Women, whether as symbols of leadership, politicians, workers, mothers, or young girls, continue to face an arduous and lengthy journey towards achieving what should be an inherent right: equal opportunities. This struggle is particularly pronounced for those belonging to marginalized or excluded groups.
